Advertising a Property for Rent

Landlords requirements when advertising for rent.
How should a landlord ensure that their property is ready to be advertised for renting?

When getting their property ready for advertising on the rental market, a landlord should review the market and determine the price of rent that is suitable to charge prospective tenants. Also, it is important to ensure that the property meets certain minimum standards including fire safety and structural standards. Interior alterations such as painting, minimally decorating and removing personal items, such as family photographs, from the property should be considered before advertising also.

The landlord should also obtain insurance cover to protect against structural damage to the property.
