How do you become a member of an OMC?

Automatically, after purchasing a property in a Multi-Unit development, you become a member of the OMC. Through this membership, you will have rights and obligations, and a say in the running of the common areas.

The register of members must be updated by the company with the new buyer’s details. The register of members is a list of all members’ names, addresses, and contact details of the company. The members are responsible for letting the company know of relevant changes to their contact details. If a tenant moves into a unit, the owner must provide the owner’s property management company (OMC) with the tenant’s contact details.
