The agent working on behalf of your landlord will be at the property on the day that you are moving out of the rented property to carry out a move-out inspection. The tenant is required to leave the property in the same condition that they first rented the property in. The agent will be looking out for details similar to below.
We recommend that tenants:
Professionally clean the apartment to ensure that it is cleaned to the same standard as it was in the beginning.
Remove all personal belongings, and ensure that all furniture provided by the landlord is present in the property upon move out as per an inventory checklist.
Ensure that all rent is paid, and there are no outstanding payments due to the landlord.
Do a meter reading, and transfer all utilities out of the tenants name.
Return all keys to the landlord, or agent present on the day of your move-out.
The landlord has a right to retain full, or in part of the security deposit to cover the cost of outstanding bills, rent arrears, and damage to the property beyond normal wear and tear. It is in the tenant’s best interest to ensure that they leave the property in the same condition that they were renting the property upon the move-out inspection to ensure that they receive the full deposit back.
